The O-ring is a closed ring with a circular cross-section.
The dimensions of the O-ring are determined by the inner diameter (ID) and the cord thickness (W).
O-rings are self-acting double-acting sealing elements.
The self-contact force caused by the installation (Figure 2a) is superimposed by the system pressure. The result is a total seal pressure. (Picture 2b)
